Strong-Field Ionization Amplitudes for Atomic Many-Electron Targets

The strong-field approximation (SFA) has been widely applied in the literature to model ionization of atoms and molecules by intense laser pulses. A recent re-formulation SFA terms partial waves spherical tensor operators helped adopt this approach account for realistic atomic potentials pulses different shape time structure. This also enables one overcome certain limitations original formulation with regard representation initial-bound final-continuum wave functions emitted electrons. We here show within framework Jac, Jena Atomic Calculator, how direct amplitude can be readily generated utilized order compute above-threshold (ATI) distributions many-electron targets given frequency, intensity, polarization, pulse duration carrier–envelope phase. Examples are shown selected ATI energy, angular as well momentum krypton. briefly discuss extended incorporate rescattering high-harmonic processes into amplitudes.
